May 8, 2018. Welcome to Saskatoon! Welcome to the Symposium!! Please note:

1) Your conference badge allows you privilege to enjoy:

o  Technical programs – plenary and keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations;

o  Food, snacks, beverages in coffee breaks, food in reception and poster session;

o  Complimentary breakfast (May 9, 10, and 11) and lunch (May 9 and 10).

Please always wear it when you participate.

2) Tickets are required for conference banquet. Beverages at reception, poster session, and banquet may need to pay with cash or tickets.

3) Complimentary conference Wi-Fi is available on conference floors. Please find the username and password on the floor pages in your program booklet.

4) Always mute you cellphones during all the sessions.

5) Our volunteer students wear green, University of Saskatchewan Husky T-shirt. Please approach them whenever you need help.

For those who have not booked hotel rooms in Delta Bessborough, please contact Dr. Hu <yongfeng.hu@lightsource.ca>. He can still help you book rooms with the group rate ($169). The pdf version of program and abstract book will be available on website in one or two days. Any questions, please just email me via hui.wang@usask.ca.

For oral presenters, please prepare your powerpoint slides according to the time you are given. For poster presenters, the maximum size of the poster is 40" (100 cm) wide and 45" (112 cm) high. If you have any questions in preparing your presentation, please contact me via hui.wang@usask.ca or technical chair, Prof. Rob Scott, via robert.scott@usask.ca.

March 15, 2018. Our early registration has been extended to March 31, 2018. We secure 50 space for the visit to Canadian Light Source (CLS). First come, first service. Once you are there, read the instruction and click registration below the information table, which will lead you to the registration site.

One of the authors must register to ensure a abstract is included in the conference program by March 31, 2018. However, the early bird registration ends on March 15, 2018.

January 20, 2018. Up to Jan 15, 2018, about 140 abstracts have been received. Thank you, folks. We look forward to hosting you in Saskatoon in Spring. The organizing committee is working hard to prepare the technical program. To help those who need visa to come to Canada, We are going to send out an acceptance and invitation letter to you very quickly.

DEC. 16, 2017. AFTER RECEIVING REQUESTS FOR EXTENSION, THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE EXTENDED CLOSE OF THE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION TO JAN. 15, 2018.

(1). The organizing committee is working hard to support graduate students to participate. Subject to fundraising, we try our best to waive registration fee for all Canadian graduate students who are presenting authors. We are negotiating for cheaper accommodation (~$60/person/night) for students.

(2). The registration fee information can be found on registration page. The regular early registration fee is CAD $550.
